The Miami Dolphins face a tough road test on Sunday in Foxboro when they take on the New England Patriots. They can win but it will be a team effort.

Some in the New England area are calling this a must-win game, not for the Miami Dolphins but for the Patriots. Is this a sign of worry for the masses who have enjoyed unparalleled success over the last decade and more? Probably not but for the Patriots it is an important game. As it is for the Dolphins.

The Dolphins can win this game and they need to but a little history on the Patriots before we show you how they can have success up North. Last season many were ready to write off the Patriots after they were destroyed on opening night of the 2017 season by the Chiefs in Foxboro. New England lost 42-27 in a game that was only close when it started.

It was time for the Patriots dynasty to end, or so they thought. The Patriots recovered as they typically do and won their next two games before losing to the Panthers in week four. Again they said the Patriots reign was coming to an end. New England of course won all but two of their remaining games until losing in the Super Bowl. So should they be written off now?

No.

The Patriots are 1-2 for the first time since 2012. They lost in the AFC Championship game to the Ravens. This year feels different but an end is not in sight just yet. Miami could however put them in a big hole. The last time New England started a season 1-3 was back in 2001 when they lost three of four to open the season and ended up winning the Super Bowl. In other words, they can never be counted out.

So how do the Miami Dolphins beat New England in Foxboro this weekend? By playing a perfect game in all three phases of the game. Here are the critical areas that Miami must be near perfect in.
