The fantasy football world might be scrambling a bit today as the Cleveland Browns have traded RB Carlos Hyde to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

For many fantasy football players the trade of Carlos Hyde to the Jaguars is a blessing. Owners of the former Browns running back have to be thrilled that he will get a better offensive line in front of him but owners of Leonard Fournett have to be wondering what to do now.

Fournette has been nursing a hamstring injury all season and there is no set timetable for his return. Enter Hyde. Signed in March of 2018, Hyde didn’t make it long with the Browns. The talented former 49’er will get more looks in Jacksonville.

While Hyde is owned in almost every league, one player who stands to benefit the most from the trade may not be. Rookie Nick Chubb should see an uptick in carries for the Browns. Midway through the fantasy season Chubb is still available in many leagues but you will need to act quickly as he is disappearing from the free agent list.

It’s unclear whether or not Hyde will play on Sunday for the Jaguars but it is likely that he will see his first action with his new team.

Trade rumors continue to swirl around the league and one Miami Dolphins player seems to be getting a lot of attention. DeVante Parker. Parker told the press today that he doesn’t want to leave the Dolphins but knows it’s a business. In other words he has heard the rumors and maybe even something from the team themselves. Of course no one is saying.

Parker may get some suitors but compensation isn’t likely to be great. The trade for Hyde cost the Jaguars only a 5th round draft pick in 2019. Parker may not even fetch that. He has missed all but two games this season and has two catches for 40 yards in the two games he has played in. That’s combined.

The league trade deadline is approaching. The trade deadline is the Tuesday after the eighth week of the season. The NFL enters its seventh weekend on Sunday.
