The Miami Dolphins will host the Lions in Miami this Sunday and the PhinPhatic staff gives your our final score predictions.

This week we asked the staff of PhinPhanatic to give us their predictions heading into Sunday. The Dolphins look to keep the momentum of last week’s nail biting win against the Bears while Detroit finishes their bye week well rested.

Nick Belotto’s predictions

The biggest question of this week’s game is whether or not Brock Osweiler can duplicate last week’s performance. I think that he can. Miami plays better at home and I see them taking advantage of a weak Lions team and putting up some points.

Brian Murray’s predictions

With Ryan Tannehill out, Brocktober continues. The O-Line will have another stellar day, giving Osweiler plenty of time and creating lanes for the Dynamic Duo of Gore and Drake. The defense will continue their mastery of taking the ball away and stifle the Detroit offense.

Eric Frosbutter’s predictions

Miami will again start Brock Osweiler with Ryan Tannehill out with a shoulder injury. Osweiler had the best game of his career, but that doesn’t mean we should make him out to suddenly be this great player.

With that said, Osweiler did a great job last Sunday managing the game, which is all you can really ask of him. The Dolphins are in good position for another win at home, but the Lions are better than some people give them credit for. Keep in mind, they did dominate the Patriots back in Week 3. Miami plays much better at home, however, and I believe they stay undefeated at Hard Rock Stadium in typical dramatic Dolphin fashion.

James Anderson’s predictions

Brock Osweiler gets the start again and Gase ought to use the same type of game plan and even some same plays until they are stopped. Although that seems like a hard thing for him to muster. Matthew Stafford had started the season somewhat erratic then cleaned it up, with some of the Dolphins backfield possibly returning so could Stafford’s errant throws to some pretty good wide outs. The Lions will be huffing and puffing chasing shadows at the Hard Rock.

Gabriel Genovesi’s predictions

With Tannehill, I believe this would’ve been a win for Miami. But Brock Osweiler will come back down to earth this week and the offense won’t play as well. Settling for a couple FG’s will hurt the Dolphins in the end. And Stafford’s offensive weapons will come through late for Detroit.

Fishin Guy’s predictions

The Miami Dolphins are coming off a tough win, and play at home, a few keys to this game is Miami Gets Wake back in the lineup, And QB Brock Osweiler had all week to get the rust off, Miami has too many play makers to lose in front of the home town crowd.

Dolphins 30 Lions 24

Shawn Digity’s predictions

It’s Brocktober and there’s no way he’ll let us down. Dolphins built up some momentum in last week’s thriller, so they’ll be chomping at the bit to keep winning. Frank Gore will help lead the way with another 100-yard game and Jakeem Grant and Albert Wilson will undoubtedly make some big splashes, as well. Brock Osweiler will man the helm as Tannehill’s backup with an exciting, but not perfect, performance as the Dolphins beat the third and final team in the Wizard of Oz series (Lions and Bengals and Bears, oh my).

Dolphins 30 Lions 20

Travis Richardson’s predictions

Miami keeps finding unique ways to win and last week it was utilizing Albert Wilson’s speed and Kenyon Drake’s redemption. Intuition says that Miami keeps the defense stout and will score enough to beat a decent Lions team. However, with Detroit having a proper week to plan for Brock, I think Miami regresses offensively and Brocktober turns into Brock-nightmare. Keep in mind that if you take away the two Wilson touchdowns and yardage, Brock had 272 yards, 1 TD and 2 picks. Considering that those stats are for an overtime game and Albert did all the lifting on those two burst plays, Brock may have had a inaccurate stat line.

Brian Miller:  This will be an interesting game as suddenly the Dolphins are finding new life but can the overcome the offense of the Detroit Lions? I think I still need to see one more game like last week before I start to think Miami can continue this.
