The Miami Dolphins lost more than a game on Sunday, they may have lost star wide-receiver Albert Wilson for an extended period of time.

Albert Wilson was injured in the second half when he was tripped up on a breakaway run. Initially it didn’t appear that the trip-up was significant but as he tried to maintain his balance and fell, something was wrong.

Wilson laid on the field and eventually was helped to the locker room in visible pain. After the game the Dolphins were not talking too much about it because they didn’t know much. An MRI later today will tell the Dolphins if the receivers injured hip is a week to week injury or at worst a season ending one.

What is known is that the injury is not a knee but a hip but to what degree of injury is only speculation. On Sunday night his agent Drew Rosenhaus appeared on his weekly Sports Extra show on Fox and said that the injury could be significant.

"“Unfortunately it looks significant. The best case scenario is that he would miss a few weeks. The worst case scenario is he could possibly miss the rest of the season. I’m sure the Dolphins will make that determination in the next few days. But certainly he’s not going to be available in the immediate future.” – Drew Rosenhaus"

This is not a good sign for a Dolphins team that continues to get decimated by injuries. Miami has lost a slew of starters this year and most are on the offensive side of the ball. Starting center Daniel Kilgore and starting left tackle Josh Sutton were both lost earlier in the season for the year.

The news on Kenny Stills isn’t know either. Stills hurt his shoulder late in the game but it is not, at least for now, considered to be serious. It’s unknown if he will play on Thursday, Wilson however will most likely not.

Wilson has been stellar for the Dolphins this year. Late in the game players were literally being told what to do in the huddle by Brock Osweiler. The slot guys were asked to run outside routes just to finish the game.

With the injuries to Wilson and possibly Stills, the problem remains with DeVante Parker who has missed all but two games and once again inactive on Sunday. This prompted his agent to refer to Adam Gase as incompetent. Parker has been drawing trade interest from around the league but will he remain on the block or inactive now that Wilson will likely miss significant time?

There is a lot going on in Miami this morning but it’s likely we don’t get much clarification until later today or later this week.
