The Miami Dolphins took one on the chin Sunday when the agent for DeVante Parker made a disparaging reference to head coach Adam Gase.

On Sunday night following the Dolphins loss to the Lions, James Gould the agent for DeVante Parker said that Adam Gase was incompetent after keeping DeVante Parker inactive. The game saw two top Dolphins receivers go down with injury. One of them possibly season long.

On Monday Parker returned to the training facility for team meetings and a walk through. After practice he told the media that he did not share in his agents opinion. Parker was and possibly still is on the trade block, the deadline is next Tuesday, October 4.

Parker has maintained that he wants to remain in Miami with the team that drafted him. He told the media that he likes his coaches, teammates, and the executives. Parker had world-class talent coming out of college but that is unrealized at the NFL level.

In two active games this year Parker has two catches for 40 yards but that will change on Thursday night when he is expected to play the entire game. Injuries to both Albert Wilson and Kenny Stills has left the Dolphins thin at receiver. A position that was a strength heading into the season. That changed in one game.

Wilson could miss the entire season if he has as torn labrum. The hip injury was sustained in the third quarter on Sunday. Kenny Stills pulled his groin on a deep pass a quarter later. Wilson will have a better idea of what his future is sometime today but the Dolphins believe it will be a season ending injury. Wilson could be back in a couple of weeks.

All of this is made worse by the fact the Dolphins have a short week and travel to Houston to play the Texans Thursday night. They are 7.5 point underdogs.
