The Miami Dolphins are in Texas tonight in an important game. Miami has announced their inactive list for tonight’s game.

The Dolphins did not have to add many names to the inactive list tonight as most of their star players are already on the inactive list. Or so it seems.

Tonight in addition to Ryan Tannehill, Charles Harris, Kenny Stills, and Albert Wilson, the Dolphins have listed A.J. Derby, Torry McTyer, Sam Young, and Cameorn Malveaux as not playing.

The first four names are no surprise and Derby has missed the last two games. Mike Gesicki will start in his place. The Dolphins announced by media release that Jakeem Grant will start on the outside in place of Kenny Stills.

Grant is more of a slot guy but should be able to use his quickness to get off the line. He can run the deep route and should present a problem for the Texans corners as he is very capable of change of direction which will help his route running.

Mike Gesicki gets his second start of the season as Derby once again misses time. Gesicki has yet to have a breakout game but last week saw him more involved in the offense. That should continue this week as well.

Not so surprising is the activation of DeVante Parker who has missed all but two games this year. Parker needs to have a good game even if it is simply a decoy to pull coverage off the tight-end and Grant. Danny Amendola will also be a feature in tonight’s offense.

Lastly Leonte Carroo has been brought up from the practice squad. Carroo has only seen limited action his entire NFL career thus far but a good showing tonight could bode well for his chances to remain on the roster at least through the season.

Earlier today the Dolphins officially announced that Albert Wilson was placed on injured reserve thus ending his season.
