Kenny Stills to be ruled out for the Miami Dolphins against the Jets
By Brian Miller
The Miami Dolphins will have more than turf issues to deal with today as Kenny Stills will lead the teams inactive list. Ruled out to play against the Jets.
Kenny Stills was injured late two weeks ago against the Detroit Lions when he pulled his groin. Limited in practice last week, Stills sat out the Texans Thursday night game and was limited earlier this week.
The Miami Dolphins released a short video clip of Stills arriving for today’s game earlier today but now it appears that he will be ruled out. This according to Adam Schefter.
With Stills out the Dolphins will need DeVante Parker to be on top of his game. Last week he posted career numbers in the loss to the Texans but was that a fluke or a sign that things might be changing the way the Dolphins expected them to? Today’s game could go a long way in giving some insight into that. Over his career Parker has not produced consecutive 100 yard games.
Last week the Dolphins signed Leonte Carroo off the practice squad and he should be active today with Stills out. Miami has not released their full list of inactives today and won’t until around 11:30 or 12:00 noon. We know that Ryan Tannehill, Charles Harris, and Stills will take up three of those spots.
For the Jets, it appears that receiver Quincy Enunwa will be active today and that could pose a threat for the Dolphins defense but pressure on rookie quarterback Sam Darnold should be adequate enough to keep the Jets offense out of sync.
Kickoff for today’s game is 1:00. There have been reports that the field conditions could be bad after a night game between Duke and the University of Miami.
