The Miami Dolphins will host the Jets this Sunday and the PhinPhatic staff gives your our final score predictions.

This week we asked the staff of PhinPhanatic to give us their Miami Dolphins predictions heading into Sunday. The Dolphins look to turn their season around and to get back on track against the New York Jets.

Shawn Digity Predictions

This is the second matchup between the two AFC East rivals, and for the Dolphins, it’s another must-win. Have you heard that before? I say that a lot about the Dolphins because they consistently dig themselves into holes. Here’s a chance for them to make up some ground and potentially stay relevant in the wild-card hunt. Sweeping the series is very possible; the injuries have added up, but the Jets are still in the bottom third of the league.

Nick Belotto Predictions

A win against the Jets is going to be hard for Miami this time around. The injuries keep piling up and the defense has struggled over the last few weeks leaving Miami in a complicated situation. Being at home, however, might help the team get back on track. Brock Osweiler, while not winning as often as we would like, has managed to put some points on the board. This may be a higher scoring game than anyone predicts and hopefully Miami’s success at home will lead to a victory against their division rival.

Eric Frosbutter Predictions

Miami’s defense is a mess right now, and they’ve just added Vincent Taylor and Cordrea Tankersley for the season. The Dolphins run defense has really struggled as of late, and losing Taylor anticipates things will only get worse for them in that department. Expect the Jets to exploit that area all afternoon, but with Miami at home I think they find a way to squeak by this time.

Dolphins 27 Jets 24

Sean Moon Predictions

The Miami Dolphins are very banged up and seem to be lost on the defensive side of the ball. The Jets have had time to get their young QB up to speed since the Dolphins played them last. The Jets will most likely run all over them and continue the defensive slide for Miami.

Jets 34 Dolphins 17

James Anderson Predictions

The big questions are: Can this defense be trusted after the last two games as well as the big home field advantage after the last few losses?
The Dolphins might be able to do just enough to squeak out a win at home playing the Jets. It will take an equal effort of all units playing a full game with little mistakes and smart play calling like not going deep with Brock.

Dolphins 27 Jets 24

George Keim Predictions

The Dolphins right the ship at home. Going on the road and winning football games in the NFL is a tough ask, especially for a rookie quarterback. The Dolphins defense takes out some of the frustrations from previous weeks on the rookie. I also believe that Gase will call a good game and keep Osweiler out of trouble and the ball in the hands of the play makers. Gesicki finds the end zone for his first NFL touchdown and the Dolphins win this one going away.

Dolphins 31 Jets 17

Austin Ramos Predictions

It’s going to be punch for punch game and every possession will count. Hopefully Miami’s defense can comeback to form from before and force turnovers to get the game going in their favor.

Dolphins 20 Jets 14

Travis Richardson Predictions

The Dolphins have fewer and fewer healthy bodies. Fortunately for Miami, New York has their own injury concerns to their wide receiver corp. The Dolphins had a long week to prepare for this home game and I see them getting it done to get to five wins.

Dolphins 27 Jets 14

Brian Miller

Miami has had plenty of time getting ready for the Jets this week having not played in over a week.  The Dolphins are a team trying desperately to find an identity and the Jets are in the same boat but it seems as though both teams are heading in different directions. The question is which one is moving forward? I think Miami gets back on track today.
