The Miami Dolphins will visit the Packers this Sunday and the PhinPhatic staff gives your our final score predictions.
This week we asked the staff of PhinPhanatic to give us their Miami Dolphins predictions heading into Sunday. The Dolphins look to get a statement win as they travel to Lambeau and take on Rodgers and Co.
Sean Moon predictions
Miami comes in with mixed emotions this week. The offense is still MIA, but the defense showed what they can do even though there are lingering questions at the safety spot. They go up to Green Bay were temps will be frigid, but the Packers team looks to be searching for some stability and has been very inconsistent. Miami is going to go to Lambeau and steal this one…..

Aaron Rodgers is obviously the biggest factor in this game. The Packers would be reeling without him though. They’ve already struggled this season, maybe because of his injury. The Dolphins will have to do a lot right on both sides of the ball, but I don’t think this game is impossible to win. It’ll be hard for lightning to strike twice; when have both the offense and defense shown up in the same game? These are just two teams that both have misleading records and that will be partially corrected on Sunday in a Miami loss.

This won’t be easy for Miami and with the Packers venting their built up frustration with back to back losses against the Patriots and Rams, this might be a shootout that Miami can’t keep up with.

James Anderson predictions
Normally expectations are the Packers would have their way with the Dolphins playing on their home field. However Aaron Rodgers has been playing with an MCL sprain in his left knee and they have a record of 3-4-1, so call them cautious yet desperate. On the other hand, the Dolphins are in an unusual circumstance yet again. This time it’s having so many injuries mostly on offense with Brock Osweiler set to start his fifth game, so these factors cancel out. An interesting stat is the Dolphins offense are averaging 21 points, anything can happen but don’t expect miracles.

Eric Frosbutter predictions
If the Dolphins had been playing a more formidable opponent last week the chances are we would have been discussing a loss. The defense bailed them out, but this week they will be up against a more formidable opponent, despite the Packers sub-par record.
Miami capitalized against a young Sam Darnold, but this defense had been struggling up until then. I think those struggles will continue at Lambeau against Aaron Rodgers. This game has the potential to get out of hand as we’ve seen in many Dolphins losses.

William Levenson predictions
After a stellar defensive performance last week, the Dolphins defense comes into this game confident. If there is anyone who can shatter that confidence, it’s Aaron Rodgers. The Dolphins historically have been abysmal in the cold weather, but they did upset an eventual Super Bowl winning Packers team with Chad Henne at QB. With temperatures expected to be below freezing, a repeat performance shouldn’t be expected. With Brock Osweiler trending downward, he will struggle to help out a defense that will have serious trouble containing Rodgers and the high-octane Packers offense. The Dolphins don’t get anything going on either side of the ball the entire game and get an extra garbage-time touchdown to make the margin look a little less embarrassing.

Nick Belotto predictions
Miami’s win last week was not as solid as one would have hoped. The defense played great but the offense struggled, leading to concerns going into a game against Aaron Rodgers, regardless of how hobbled he is. The Dolphins are forced to go with Osweiler again and with the injuries continuing to pile up at a record pace, I’m not sure how Miami will come out of this one with a win. If Miami can get the running game going, maybe there is a chance. Even then, the odds are stacked against the Dolphins.

Every once in a while you get a feeling. There is no evidence to back up this feeling other than a gut. While Aaron Rodgers is one of the greatest quarterbacks ever, he’s not currently playing that way. The Packers only managed 17 points against a very mediocre New England defense. Miami’s defense is better, even in its current state. Gase will see the errors of his way in play calling. Dolphins will get back to the winning formula of run the football and play defense and escape Lambeau with a low scoring win.

Austin Ramos predictions
Miami wins 24-21 with a good running game by the duo of Frank Gore and Kenyan Drake to go for a combined 150 yards and 1 touchdown and Brock Osweiler will throw for over 250 yards and 2 touchdowns. The defense will force a turnover that will lead to points.

Travis Richardson predictions
If Miami was at home, I would feel better about this game. If the Packers didn’t have Aaron Rodgers, I would feel better about this game. If Miami didn’t have a small flag football team sized injury report, I would feel better about this game. If our defensive coordinator and coach had more focus on this game and not on Rashad Jones, I would feel better about this game.
Unfortunately, all of those things aren’t reality and I feel horrible about this game.

Nothing seems to be going right for the Dolphins currently. Last weeks defensive effort is likely to be a memory after today. The Dolphins have problems on both sides of the ball and the defense needs to be flawless for 60 minutes. There is no AFC East uplift like there is against the Patriots.
