The Miami Dolphins may have finally got some good news on the injury front if a new report about Jakeem Grant and his Achilles is true.

According to Ian Rapoport the Miami Dolphins now believe that speedy receiver Jakeem Grant has not torn his Achilles as many originally thought. It’s good news for a team that is depleting their receiver group almost weekly.

The question of course what is Grant’s injury. In the 2nd half of the loss to Green Bay, Grant cut off the line of scrimmage on a slant route and immediately pulled up his left let in pain. He hopped across the field to the Dolphins sideline before collapsing on the field.

In obvious pain, Grant punched the ground and was later taken by cart to the locker room.

The Miami Dolphins have not publicly commented on what the injury is and it is very likely that Grant could miss some game time but the Dolphins have a bye week next Sunday and will not play until they face Indianapolis two weeks from yesterday.

Grant wasn’t the only injured receiver on Sunday. Following the game it was reported by Palm Beach Post beat writer Joe Schad that DeVante Parker was in the locker room with a sling on his arm.

Parker went down in the 4th quarter and did not return to the game. Like Grant the Dolphins have not addressed the issue with media yet. If history is an indication however Parker will likely be out for at least a little while. He has missed time this year alone due to a broken finger that took weeks to recover from and then a quad injury. He has played in five games this season but has appeared in the last three. On Sunday he was targeted 11 times and caught five passes.

The bye week can not come at a better time for the Dolphins who have injuries on both sides of the ball and a make-shift offensive line.
