Xavien Howard – CB – 25 years old

Howard has become as close to a shutdown corner as Miami can hope for. He is probably their best corner back since the days of Sam Madison and Patrick Surtain. He is aggressive and smart and while he will be flagged at times there is no question about his ability.

The best part is that Howard is still learning the NFL and has a lot of growth and maturity in front of him that should lead him to becoming one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL.

Howard is often pitted against the best opposing receivers and he has done a fantastic job of shutting them out. With the addition of Minkah Fitzpatrick, Howard is finding coverage to be easier.

Finding a suitable corner to play opposite Howard is a topic of Dolphins forum and social media discussions. Having Howard in place makes that task a little less daunting.
