Minkah Fitzpatrick – S/CB/LB/Nickel – 22 years old

Fitzpatrick may just develop into the best first round pick the Miami Dolphins have made in a decade if not more. He has that kind of world talent that the Dolphins more often than not pass in the draft.

Fitzpatrick is having a quiet rookie season but for a corner that is exactly the kind of season you want. Building around Fitzpatrick on the defense will be interesting because there is no set in stone position for him. That is actually quite exciting.

Through 2018 Fitzpatrick has lined up all over the field at different positions. Is the heir apparent to Reshad Jones? Will he take over for T.J. McDonald next year or will he slide into the corner spot opposite Xavien Howard?

Chances are depending on what the Dolphins do defensively he could very well play multiple looks that best suit defending the opponent.

Fitzpatrick has lived up to his first round billing and he has not disappointed. With three more years left on his contract and a 5th year option the Dolphins have a key member of the defense locked up for the foreseeable future and a player that should develop into a leader on that side of the ball.
