10 Miami Dolphins players that will determine the teams future
By Brian Miller
Kenyan Drake – RB – 24 years old
Many Miami Dolphins fans have been upset with the balance of touches between veteran Frank Gore and Drake. Drake lags far behind in carries this season and that is not good.
Drake however has talent and should be learning from Gore who may come back in 2019 after the production he is showing this year. Gore is a future Hall of Fame player and it is hard to take him off the field when he is producing as well as he is when the line is blocking the way they should.
For Drake’s part he struggles with blocking and protection and that is something he needs to work on. Clearing up those mistakes will lead to more playing time in the future and Miami needs him to continue his development because he can be a home-run threat from the backfield.
Drake has a lot of potential and his presence eliminates a need at the position. The Dolphins don’t need big name running backs in this offensive system to have success so Drake gives the team a solid future at the position and yes, when he gets into a rhythm in a game he can easily be that number one runner.
