The Miami Dolphins will visit the Colts this Sunday and the PhinPhatic staff gives your our final score predictions.

This week we asked the staff of PhinPhanatic to give us their Miami Dolphins predictions heading into Sunday. The Dolphins look to take advantage of the bye week to get healthier and hopefully turn their season around.

The Dolphins have looked weaker on the road than home and I expect this week will be no different. Getting back Tannehill doesn’t mean we see the QB we saw Weeks 1-3. Also, Andrew Luck, and especially TE Eric Ebron, will light up Miami’s secondary.

With the return of Ryan Tannehill the Dolphins offense becomes slightly better, but the injuries are to much to overcome. To many 3 and outs will plague this team against a red hot Indy team that can score a lot. The Miami Dolphins lack of a pass rush will burn them and Andrew luck will pick em apart

Tannehill return actually means nothing. Ryan can’t help the Defense fix their run games wowes, and Andrew Luck is looking like himself. The best part of Luck game is Frank Reich catered his offense to Luck ability (are you listening Gase?), short read drops that don’t get your QB killed, as Reich understands that he doesn’t want to get his QB killed. Also Quinten Nelson looks like the best guard in the NFL, he’s crazy good and we have no one on our Dline that can handle him.

With the return of Ryan Tannehill, the Dolphins offense is poised to go back to its practice of actually scoring touchdowns. That being said, Indy is coming off a big win against a divisional opponent and Andrew Luck seems to finally have found his groove. This one will be close, but the extra prep for Miami and with a number of guys returning from injury, Miami comes out with a win and keeps their playoff hopes alive.

Ryan Tannehill returning might mean that the Dolphins actually score an offensive touchdown for the first time in a month. Tannehill is not an elite level player, however, nor does he play defense. This Colts team is red hot at the moment, and they should have no issue continuing their winning streak in convincing fashion.

The Colts actually have three more players on IR than the Dolphins, which makes their run of three TD’s games with wins more impressive, although the teams they faced weren’t powerhouse defenses aside from the Jags who have faltered lately. And the Dolphins defense hasn’t been the problem lately. The Colts will be without their starting center while the Dolphins are getting back both starting tackles and Brendel should play guard better than Larsen IMO.

This game has a sneaky factor with the Dolphins getting healthy on offense and Tannehill’s return with an added something to prove from so many knives in his back from the media and fans alike. The late 2016 run had more victories on the road than road losses for that season, it’s time to repeat that.

The Miami Dolphins have a great offensive game with Ryan Tannehill back on the field and also have a great defensive game and will get 2 sacks on Colts QB Andrew Luck.

In the battle for the AFC wild card spots, the 5-5 Dolphins will head to to Indianapolis to take on the 5-5 Colts. Ryan Tannehill is also returning to his starting role, which could make for an exciting shoot out between him and fellow former 2012 first-round QB Andrew Luck. The Colts have the edge in this matchup simply because Luck is just the better quarterback. But there’s also the mismatch of the Colts o-lone v. the Dolphins d-line. The Dolphins will have trouble getting pressure against the Colts’ trench guys which will give Capt. Luck more than enough time to pick apart the Dolphin men. Dearest mother will surely be very proud as the Colts ride to a 6-5 record.

The Colts have a more talented QB and a much better offensive line. In a game that features two teams going in opposite directions, look for the trend to continue. Miami has too many injuries to justify an extended preperation playing a factor.

Part of me feels like this is going to swing in Miami’s direction in a big way but the other part of just laughs and smacks the other side in the head. Tannehill is back and will be rusty and I don’t see the Dolphins defense getting the pressure on Andrew Luck. I also think that the Dolphins secondary is going to play more physical which is going to lead to more penalties.
