Miami Dolphins are very good at home against the Patriots

3-0. Yes that’s right the Miami Dolphins Ryan Tannehill is a perfect 3-0 against the New England Patriots at home. Tannehill is 3-7 overall versus New England, but is perfect at home.

Tom Brady overall has his worst record versus an opponent on the road 7-9 against the Miami Dolphins in Miami. The Dolphins who are currently 4-1 at home is one of the better home records in the NFL this year.

The biggest it factor for the game will be the weather. The Patriots struggle so much due to the 30 degree difference at this time of year. As a rule you probably want to play earlier in the year when it’s hotter, however it’s in December so it’ll have to do.

The success for Miami in Miami is quite surprising especially against such a quality opponent in New England. Even though Miami has an advantage at home their overall record isn’t too good. Since Brady has been the quarterback the Patriots are 22-9 against the Dolphins, and are almost invincible at home against Miami.

If Miami wants to win this game they must protect the football. New England will always capitalize on mistakes, and will make you regret giving them the ball. Also New England will very rarely give up the ball and give you an advantage so a perfect game is almost necessary.

The biggest downside to this game will be the loss of Xavien Howard. Howard who had two interceptions last week, and also had two interceptions on Brady in a 27-20 win on Monday night football last year. This will put Miami at a severe disadvantage without their star playmaker. Players like Minkah Fitzpatrick will need to step up and create these big plays for this Dolphins defense.

This is a team that has been plagued with injuries. Unfortunately, Miami isn’t deep enough to make up for these injuries and is why they are only 6-6 on the year. Overall Adam Gase has done a great job with all the injuries, and is very fortunate to have this record.

My prediction is New England wins this game in a tight one 27-24. This will be the final score, Miami will put up a fight, but it won’t be enough to topple the AFC East kings, and will ultimately put them out of playoff contention.
