Breaking: Miami Dolphins elevate Chris Grier re-assign Tannebaum
By Brian Miller
The Miami Dolphins are making changes with the team now in the hands of Chris Grier as Mike Tannenbaum is re-assigned.
The Miami Dolphins will hold a press conference that will start any minute but that press conference will be with Stephen Ross and Chris Grier only. The Dolphins will officially announce the firing of Adam Gase and the redefined role of Mike Tannenbaum. Ross is likely to also talk about Grier’s new position and responsibilities.
While Mike Tannenbaum is not fired, the word is that he will no longer have anything to do with football operations. Grier will now head up the search for a general manager and head coach. Or at least that is what is expected however that might not be the case, 100%.
According to a news release by the Dolphins the next head coach will report directly to Chris Grier.

In a statement released by the team, Ross thanked Gase for his hard work with the team stating that Gase had given everything to the team and worked hard.
Friction was developing between the two and with some of the players. The Dolphins will now turn towards a more defined structure where Grier who completed his 19th season with the Dolphins will try and swing this team in the right direction.
At the press conference Grier thanked Ross for the opportunity and said that. he and the next head coach will need to work together to form a single vision and direction. He said that the search for the next head coach would begin immediately and that he and Ross would spend time looking over possibilities.
When asked about Ryan Tannehill, Grier said that he is on the roster and the next head coach would do player evaluations and then a decision would be made. Both Ross and Grier were clear that they wanted a defined team with a coach who has a clear direction for the team. It appears that the lack of identity is something they are hoping to change.
