The Miami Dolphins have wasted little time getting into their coaching search. No one however really stands out as the best candidate.

When the Miami Dolphins decided to part ways with Adam Gase they entered an off-season that will not be completed until a rebuild is installed. It stars with the head coach. Eight teams are looking for new head coaches this year and the list of available coaches isn’t really that deep in veteran talent.

What there does seem to be an abundance of are coaches who may get their chance to run a team because of the need for coaches. Every team is looking for another Sean McVay or Doug Peterson this time around.

Miami is currently showing interest in five potential candidates but none of them elicit a “must sign this guy now” type of situation. Then again, Adam Gase was that type of coaching candidate and that didn’t work at all in Miami’s favor.

There is no timetable for the Dolphins to find a head coach they could hire was tomorrow, today, or in two weeks. What we can expect is a methodical process that checks off all the boxes. We can expect a candidate or maybe two to blow away Stephen Ross and Chris Grier and some who simply will not.

Here is a look at some of the candidates that we know about so far.
