In 2018 the Dolphins hardly used the talented receiving tight-end and instead asked him to do what he really couldn’t. Block. Now comes a new offensive system that will be run by a guy who knows what to expect and how to use tight-ends. Chad O’Shea should have a huge impact on Gesicki’s performance on the field.

The Dolphins need Gesicki to get better and get better quickly. He has a lot of talent but without the right kind of coaching it can be tough to grow into your role. While the Dolphins are not likely going to look anything like the Patriots, Gesicki should expect similar involvement as Rob Gronkowski.

The Dolphins invested a 2nd round pick in 2018’s draft on Gesicki so last year was a disappointment but in reality it was more of a disappointment in regards to Adam Gase.
