The Miami Dolphins are sitting this Super Bowl out but Ndamukong Suh is ready to roll and he knows the Patriots well.

Ndamukong Suh played three uninspiring seasons for the Miami Dolphins and in doing so faced his opponent on Sunday two times a year. He was released last off-season and joined the Rams who fortified their stellar defensive front. Now Suh is going to put his knowledge of Sunday’s opponent to good use. Or so he hopes.

In 2015 Suh was credited with 8 tackles and a 1/2 sack in two games against the Patriots but he also was credited with four hits on Tom Brady. In 2016 he registered 16 combined tackles against the Patriots and in 2017 he had four combined tackles and two hits on Brady and one sack.

While his numbers are not stellar consider that he was double teamed often despite lining up next to Cameron Wake. The Patriots are not going to have the luxury of doubling down on Suh and leaving Aaron Donald one on one. Suh could have a very good game.

If the Rams want to beat the Patriots they need to play flawless football but they also have to get pressure on Tom Brady and force him to throw too soon. Sacking Brady is near impossible as he gets rid of the ball fast.

Suh has been doing well this year against the run and the Rams need to him to keep the Patriots running backs from getting across the line of scrimmage and forcing the plays outside. This will put the Patriots in third and long situations which will require Brady to hold the ball a bit longer than he would like.

Suh is going to be a big part of this game, it is his first Super Bowl and while he tends to chase the money more than success he has a shot at getting an elusive ring. He knows the Patriots and they know him. It should be a good match-up for four quarters.
