Danny Crossman – Special Teams coordinator

Crossman will replace the popular Darren Rizzi who had moderate success with the Dolphins in his long career. He began his coaching career as a DB/ST coach with Coast Guard Academy in 1993 before heading to Western Kentucky in 1994. He got his first NFL job in 2003 with the Carolina Panthers as special teams assistant.

Crossman spent several seasons with the Panthers advancing to special teams coordinator in 2007. In 2010 he took the same role in Detroit. He has spent 2013 to this week as the Buffalo Bills special teams coordinator.

Crossman’s Bills special teams units have been average over his career but he does tend to get a lot of his players. The Bills simply haven’t been that good for quite a while. In 2017 the Bills ended one of the longest playoff droughts in the NFL.
