Dan Patrick had some words about the Miami Dolphins on his latest podcast and advice on how to fix the bland franchise.

On his latest show Dan Patrick gave some unsolicited advice to the Miami Dolphins and how to fix their “bland” franchise. Patrick began by talking about the team not just being bad but being worse, being bland.  He said there is no face to the franchise and that nobody wan’t to watch them play.

He is right about the face to the franchise. As hard as the team tried ahead of the 2018 season, Ryan Tannehill was not who they had hoped he would be. So what is Patrick’s advice? To draft Kyler Murray and trade for Antonio Brown.

Patrick says that the two would make the team relevant and would be a watchable team saying that they are not a watchable team right now.

Miami is expected to begin what could be a huge overhaul or “re-build” in the coming weeks. This rebuild will include some veteran releases and a shift in focus in free agency. The Dolphins are not expected to be big players in the market.

The rebuild also means that the Dolphins are not likely going to trade for any players that are not cap friendly which will rule out Antonio Brown. The Steelers are also expected to try and trade him to an NFC team as well. Not that Miami with Brown would pose much of a threat this year.

Kyler Murray could very well be a target for the Dolphins in April’s draft but most believe he will be long gone by the time the Dolphins are on the clock at the 13th selection. It is not known if the Dolphins have any intentions of trading up for the QB. There has been a lot of speculation that the Dolphins covet a quarterback in the 2020 draft class.

As to what Patrick said, well, it is a little hard to argue his point.
