The Miami Dolphins want to purge their roster and rebuild it and five players carry no dead cap space if they want to release them.

If the Miami Dolphins truly want to re-build the franchise they will need to clear cap space and that means they need to cut some veteran players to save money. Saving money isn’t the problem. There are players on the roster who can be released with no dead cap money. There are also some who can be released with little cap penalty.

Each player would need to be replaced of course but if the Dolphins are looking to get younger or find players with more upside and potential, then finding replacements should already be in the plan. Re-building is never fun for any organization and it shows a past inability to find players that fit what is trying to be accomplished.

Here are the top five players with no dead cap space and now their release would impact the roster.
