11. Cincinnati Bengals – Dwayne Haskins, QB (Ohio State)

The Bengals have not been heavily linked to a quarterback in the first round, but now Dwayne Haskins is right there for the taking. Cincinnati elects to pull the trigger, adjusting their draft board for the remainder of the process, and keep Haskins within the state.

12. Green Bay Packers – Noah Fant, TE (Iowa)

It’s a bit early to take a tight end, in my opinion, but the Packers need one, and they can choose from all options by taking the first one off the board. Plus, Green Bay has another pick in the round in which they can address other needs. The first tight end off the board could go one in three directions, but Fant looked to be the better of them all following the Combine.

13. Miami Dolphins – Ed Oliver, DT (Houston)

Miami hits a home run here with Oliver on the board. The Dolphins have a plethora of needs and would be smart to take the best player available at one of those positions. A possible top 5 pick, Oliver is an easy decision here for Miami.

14. Atlanta Falcons – Brian Burns, EDGE (Florida State)

The Falcons would love for Oliver to fall to them as well, but they are happy to take Burns as a consolation. Atlanta needs a wide variety of front line defensive help, and Burns is the best player available at this point.

15. Washington Redskins – D.K. Metcalf, WR (Mississippi)

The Redskins really need a quarterback, but to no surprise, the top 3 players are off the board. They could reach for a guy like Daniel Jones, but why make that mistake knowing that the Giants are picking two spots behind you? There’s no need to be desperate, and they bought themselves a little time by trading for Case Keenum. In the meantime, get your quarterback some weapons as the Redskins simply have none. The few credible receivers they did have, have already been lost to free agency.
