The NFL will kick-off their 100th season with a dip into the pool of history announcing today that the season will kick-off on Thursday, September 5th.

When the NFL kicks-off the 2019 season the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers will be the showcase Thursday night bucking the trend of the Super Bowl victors kicking off the season. The two oldest franchises makes a lot of sense for this season.

The Miami Dolphins and the rest of the league will play on Sunday the 8th of September with the Patriots likely hosting the Sunday night marquee game. On Monday the league will also likely showcase two games as they have done the last few years with West coast teams hosting a home opener.

Los Angeles will likely host one of the two games and the NFL may give one to the Raiders who are still playing in Oakland amidst drama from the city of Oakland. The NFL has not released it’s full slate of games for 2019 but we already know the United Kingdom schedule of games that will be played.

Traditionally the NFL releases the schedule the week prior to the NFL Draft. Over the years it has become a ratings hit for NFL Network and ESPN but for those who really don’t care to watch an hour long love-fest of who and where the New England Patriots will play, there is always the daily leaks on social media that get early released throughout the day.

The Miami Dolphins will play their AFC East rivals both home and away as well as the AFC North and the NFC East.  Miami will host the Chargers, Bengals, Ravens, Eagles, and Redskins while traveling to the Browns, Steelers, Giants, Cowboys, and Colts.

There has been some speculation that the Dolphins could play the Cowboys as one of the three games on Thanksgiving. We will know in a few weeks.
