The Miami Dolphins are keeping things close to their chest when it comes to the draft but Dwayne Haskins says they have shown a lot of interest.

As the QB carousel rumors continue ahead of this weeks NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins are back in the mix for quarterback Dwayne Haskins. According to Haskins.

"“A lot of teams,” Haskins said. “The Raiders, the Redskins, Broncos, Dolphins, and the Giants. Those are the teams who have shown the most interest in me.” via ProFootballtalk.com"

If the interest from the Dolphins is legitimate, it will make a lot of fans very happy and a lot of fans not very happy. Haskins is an interesting prospect. He lit up the college level last year but is a one year starter and comes with question marks surrounding his pocket awareness and footwork. Others see him as the top QB prospect in the draft.

Mock drafts have Haskins going everywhere from the top five to 25 depending on who is doing the mock. Miami could see him at pick 13 or they could watch him go off the board much earlier. There has been speculation that his stock is starting to drop or has been but when the draft actually starts, that drop won’t matter if a team sees him as the future of that teams franchise.

Earlier today Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald wrote an article saying that the Dolphins think this year class is good but not great. If that is true would they spend a 13 overall on a quarterback that they are unsure about? Especially given the popular opinion that they will wait until 2020 to take a QB?

The fact that Miami has paid attention to Haskins doesn’t mean much. In the past several drafts the Dolphins have not met with their first round selection pre-draft so it could be another one of those smokescreens we hear so much about. Two more days and a handful of hours and we will know for certain.
