The Miami Dolphins drafted a big personality with Christian Wilkins. A very big personality that thinks he can replace Dwyane Wade.

There should be an option for a wide-eyed emoji here as new Dolphins DT Christian Wilkins wants to be the next Dwyane Wade for the city of Miami. Lofty expectations yes, but a great attitude.

Wilkins is a charismatic player who believes in himself more than most players his age. Without having played a single down in the NFL, Wilkins thinks he is all that and a bag of Wade.

Wilkins is not a dumb person, he has two degrees from Clemson and is very smart so the knowledge of no state income tax isn’t lost. Can he become the next Wade though? That is a big shoe to fill but it is refreshing to hear a player think that highly of himself. It is obvious that Wilkins isn’t shy. Not in the least.

With a “Let’s go” yell as he walked on to the stage in Nashville, Wilkins introduced himself to the Miami Dolphins fan base. As for Wade, it was as much about what he did on the court as he did on the field. What Wilkins should be shooting for though is to be endeared like Jason Taylor.

Tyalor was and remains a major personality in the Dolphins history and the city of Miami. Wilkins has the talk but can he back it up? Regardless it is obvious that he wants to be more than just a 13th overall draft selection. He wants to be someone for the Miami populace. He wants to be more than just a football player. Honestly, I think he can be. His attitude is refreshing and honest.
