Here is what we know.  The Dolphins want to add more picks and there is a top Tackle available at 13.  The Dolphins could pull the trigger and select Jawaan Taylor or could look to shore up their defensive line with Clelin Ferrell.  Two enticing prospects, however the phone is ringing and I see the Dolphins trading the 13th overall pick to Minnesota Vikings.  The Vikings invested so much on their QB Kirk Cousin, they need to start protecting him.  The Dolphins receive 18th overall selection, their 2nd round pick and 5th round pick in 2020.

With the 18th overall section the Miami Dolphins select Christian Wilkins DT Clemson. A little known fact, is that Wilkins is a smart player on and off the field. Off the field he earned a degree in the less than 3 years.  Flores made it known he wants smart players – it’s match for the Dolphins.

With Haskins leaving the board 2 picks before the Dolphins’ pick the plan to select their franchise QB continues to look toward 2020.  While the Dolphins like Drew Lock, they like Tua more.  The Giants still need their QB of the future to replace Eli Manning after drafting Ed Burns with the 6th pick.  They will look to jump over Washington who also has uncertainty at the QB position.  With Drew Lock still on the board the Dolphins and the Giants hook up for a trade.  The Giants receive the 13th pick and select Drew Lock while the Dolphins receive the 17th overall pick and a 2020 2nd round pick.  The Dolphins add to their draft capital for 2020 and at 17 select Jawaan Taylor, OT, Florida.
