Miami Dolphins have long day 3 wait but talent is there to be drafted
By Brian Miller
When the Miami Dolphins finally get on the NFL Draft clock, it will be well into the 5th round of the day. It’s a long wait but talent will be there.
The Miami Dolphins have four picks today. One in the 5th, one in the 6th, and two back-to-back picks in the 7th round. It is always possible to see the Dolphins move up in the draft but it is more likely that Miami stays put and lets the draft play out in front of them.
The Dolphins fourth round pick was sent to the Saints as part of the day two trade down. Miami received the Saints 2020 2nd round pick and the Saints 6th round pick this year. Miami did not have a 6th round pick this year.
Round four will eat up a lot of the remaining talent but the Dolphins should still find value when they come on the clock. Here is a look at some of the day three players that remain who could be targets of the Dolphins in rounds 5, 6, and 7.
Wide-Receiver:
Yes the Dolphins do need a wide-receiver and the middle of the draft would make sense if one happened to fall. The top of the list however may not make it and he could become the best receiver of this class. Riley Ridley has all the tools to be great in the NFL but he has to show more consistency.

Edge/DE :
Edge still remains a major need for the Dolphins and while the top talent is gone, there is still some solid value on the board.
