Miami Dolphins Josh Rosen leads touchdown drive on his first series

The Miami Dolphins have taken the lead midway through the 2nd quarter after scoring a touchdown on Josh Rosen’s first drive.

Josh Rosen had an impressive drive in his first series as a Miami Dolphins quarterback. While he was far from perfect, his pocket awareness showed and he was able to take advantage of Atlanta mistakes.

The Falcons were flagged three times on the drive including a pass interference in the endzone that set up a Kalen Ballage dive over the goaline. Ballage who didn’t look good in the first quarter showed a lot more of what he can do in the 2nd on this drive.

Ballage was able to break a couple of tackles and extend one run for a nice gain. At receiver, Preston Williams is getting a lot of looks, he made an impressive catch on a would be sack of Rosen and was the receiver involved in the PI in the endzone.

The Dolphins offense is far from perfect and the offensive line is not playing good football. Jordan Mills is struggling but the entire offensive line is having some issues.

One notable is that the Dolphins have cut down on pre-snap penalties. One has been thrown thus far.

As the game is progressing, the coverage by the Dolphins secondary is looking good aside from Nic Needham who has struggled. Miami still needs to get pressure on the quarterback. They have two sacks thus far but those were both coverage sacks.

Overall so far, the game has been interesting and the Dolphins are settling down.
