Miami Dolphins receiver DeVante Parker shows up again with an injury that will hold him out of practice.

I guess it was just a matter of time before the Miami Dolphins receiver DeVante Parker would be injured, after all, he does have an outstanding track record with the team injury bug. Low and behold DeVante Parker was held out of practice today with an injury, hmm, who would have guessed, oh I don’t know, maybe every Dolphins fan in America.

Joking aside, as DeVante Parker sits yet again, there happens to be a rookie replacement putting on a show at every practice and game this preseason. I don’t even think I really need to name him, but I will, Preston Williams and he is going to make this football team and at this point, in my opinion, looks to make DeVante Parker trade bait, if anyone needs a cheerleader.

I cannot foresee a roster spot being taken up yet another year for a talented but way to often hurt player at a skill position. There is no need to further waste money or a roster spot on this guy. I thought DeVante Parker would eventually figure out how to take care of himself, but it appears he just cannot stay healthy, it is what it is and its time to finally move on.

I saw the allure, I saw the hope, he’s big and has a huge catch radius, but if you simply can’t stay on the field, then you have no use to this team. Preston Williams is big, fast, agile and catches almost everything thrown his way. The coach and GM must realize that enough is enough and move on from DeVante Parker.

I’m tired of holding my breath every time Parker goes down on the field and I’m tired of hoping he can show up to the next game and be productive, as should this organization. Time will tell but if this injury is substantial and maybe if it’s just a small injury, I think you still move on and put some production in that roster spot.
