Jesse Davis

Davis signed a three-year extension late last week and will now anchor the right side of the offensive line. Or he may line up at guard. Or he may line up at left tackle. He is versatile enough to play all three and the Dolphins haven’t tipped their hand 100% on where they see him along the line.

Miami’s offensive line is not good but the team believs that Davis is good enough to be a part of the teams immediate future and a player to build around along the offensive line. Davis is consistent and started all 16 games last season. Now he needs to show that the new contract was not a mistake.

With Daniel Kilgore at center there will be three other new faces on the offensive line. The only 100% guarantee is Michael Dieter at left guard and Kilgore at center. Davis is listed on the team’s depth chart at right tackle and that should hold for today. At right guard, for now, the Dolphins have undrafted rookie Shaq Calhoun and at left tackle they have Julien Davenport. It is going to be a tough outting for the Dolphins line today.
