Minkah Fitzpatrick

On any other team Fitzpatrick may have been the defensive player of the year last year. He is that good. In 2018, Matt Burke didn’t know how to use him but Burke didn’t know how to use anyone. Is he a safety like they list on their depth chart? A slot corner?

Miami is trying to maximize his versatility and athleticism but they really need to find him one spot and let him play it and get great in that one position before moving him all over the field.

Fitzpatrick should be a big part of the Dolphins future plans but we need to see how this coaching staff is going to use him. If the Dolphins can get him into the right spot, he can change a game but they have to find that spot first.

Today, Fitzpatrick will face a good Ravens offense and containing Lamar Jackson is a big key today. If the Dolphins move Fitzpatrick up to the line, he will need to help contain the mobile quarterback.
