Brian Flores’ defense

This entire off-season Dolphins fans have wanted to see what the Dolphins would do defensively. The unit is further along in the rebuild than the offensive side of the ball. Flores has stated he wants an attacking, physical, and brutal defense but so far through camp and preseason we didn’t see a lot of that.

Some of that was due to the Dolphins trying to identify players on the roster that could help and fit in this scheme. Now it’s time to roll it out and show what exactly the Dolphins defense is going to be. Or at the very least the direction they are going in.

Flores called one of the best defensvie Super Bowl’s last February. The defense was stifling. He needs to instill that same desire in this group that includes some very talented players. This is not to say the Dolphins will or can win against the Ravens but we need to see something more than a group thrown together. We need to see how Flores is going to attack.

When it is not the defense, we need to see who Flores is as a coach. How he manages the game. There will be mistakes as there always is for first-time HC’s but it is how he handles those errors that will define him in his first season.
