The Miami Dolphins got good news with the return of Xavien Howard who will be back on the field against the Buffalo Bills today.
There is no question that the Miami Dolphins have missed Xavien Howard, their shutdown corner who missed last weeks game against the Redskins with a knee injury, and now he appears ready to be back on the field.
Howard was limited in practice this week but it seems that he may have been able to get himself right ahead of this week. Miami picked up three-year veteran corner Ryan Lewis off waivers earlier this week and it is possible that he is active and sees time today.
Miami will be without Reshad Jones who is dealing with a chest injury. They will also be without center Daniel Kilgore who was injured in the final moments of last weeks loss to Washington. Kilgore has not missed a snap all year. In his place Evan Boehm will slide from guard to center.
Boehm actually could be a solid future center for Miami. He plays with a lot of physicality and has a mean streak about him. Today will be his first start at the position for Miami.
As for Howard, he will need to have a good game if the Dolphins hope to have a shot at a victory or even just to keep it close. The Bills avereage around 230 yards in passing per game but it is Josh Allen‘s legs that can be the most dangerous for Miami. Miami must find a way to contain him and part of that is having good coverage on the edge.
Miami and Buffalo kickoff at 1:00 today.
