Round 2 Pick 36 (overall) – Jalen Hurts, QB, Oklahoma – Biggest need on team is quarterback after first three picks. Of the quarterbacks remaining I like Hurts better as the quarterback of choice for the Dolphins. Hurts has seen his accuracy increase this season at Oklahoma and at 6’2” and 218 lbs. he is mobile and a dual threat quarterback. He has also shown through his time at both Alabama and Oklahoma that he can learn offensive systems quickly, deal with adversity and will do what is needed to help team.

Jonathan Taylor – RB, Wisconsin
Jacob Eason – QB, Washington
Jalen Hurts – QB, Oklahoma
Jake Fromm – QB, Georgia

Round 2 Pick 61 (overall) – Devonta Smith, WR Alabama –In Smith, the Dolphins would add a weapon at the slot receiver position and would allow Smith to be at his best in a position that is most comfortable to him. At 6’1” and 175 lbs. he presents a polished route runner that exploits opposing defenses with his craftiness to gain separation from tight coverage. The idea of having Preston Williams, Devante Parker and Smith lining up together would be fantastic to watch.

Round 3 Pick 68 (overall) – Antoine Winfield Jr. – S, Minnesota – This guy is a playmaker plain and simple. He is also climbing high on draft boards everywhere. At 5’10” and 195 lbs., Winfield is fourth in the nation in interceptions (he has 7 and three people have 8) He can make tackles and adjusts on a dime. He displays a great deal of vision and sees the total field. He is always looking to get the ball not just break up the pass. After missing time with injuries in previous years, he has come back with a vengeance this season setting career highs in total tackles, tackles for loss, interceptions, and sacks.
