Xavien Howard: 2016 NFL Draft, Round 2, Pick 38. Career Stats: 140 TAK, 1 SCK, 22 INTs, 1 Pro Bowl

When Howard is on the field, he is a lockdown corner with naturally ball hawk abilities. The problem is that he seems to miss a lot of time. Just this season alone, Howard missed 3 games before being shut down for the season following Miami’s week 8 loss to the Steelers. Last year’s campaign, however, proves how dominant he can be when he plays for a whole season.

This year notwithstanding, Howard has put together a strong career, making him worthy of the contract extension that he signed last offseason. Miami will need to find him a complimentary running mate and some quality pass rushers to help him continue to grow and develop, but even on his own, he can make an impact on any game.

Every general manager dreams of getting a Pro-Bowl caliber player in the second round and Miami’s front office nailed it. If he can stay healthy, Howard can be one of the top corners in the league.
