Ryan Tannehill, 2012 NFL Draft, Round 1, Pick 8. Career Stats (with Miami): 63.05%, 20,434 YDS, 123 TDs, 75 INTs, 1210 RuYds, 6 RuTDs

I feel bad for Ryan Tannehill. I always thought that he could be a solid quarterback if he stayed healthy, if the coaching staff helped him grow and if the front office surrounded him with a solid team. Unfortunately, none of those things seemed to happen at the same time in Miami.

For the few seasons that he stayed healthy, he looked like he was improving each year. But once the injuries started to take hold, it slowed down his development. Once Adam Gase started to take hold, it slowed him down even more.

For years, I defended Tannehill to many Dolphins fans. He always had the potential to be a good, solid quarterback for this team. Unfortunately, he never had the coaching to really help him get to the next level which was unfortunate (especially when you look at his play this year).

Looking back at his stat line, I am actually more impressed than I thought I would be. He had some decent stats when he was here in Miami, even with the more than competent coaching staff he was surrounded by.
