Miami Dolphins All-Decade team has good but not great talent
By Brian Miller
Tight end isn’t an easy position to choose from. Mainly because the Dolphins couldn’t find suitable players to actually excel at the position. Charles Clay spent more time at TE in Miami than any other player in this past decade but if I am building an all-decade team, I might have better options. Frankly, I was never really all that impressed with the H-back/tight end hybrid.
Blocking TE: Anthony Fasano was a fun player to watch. He was that blue-collar type player with the same type of work ethic. He was serviceable as a receiver but his money was made as a blocking tight end. He was really good at doing his job but Fasano was never the type of TE that was going to break the record books.
Pass catcher: Mike Gesicki is a player that is still trying to prove his worth but he has shown great hands when given the chance and while he has only been in the league a couple of years, he has the talent to potentially be one of Miami’s all-time best TE’s if he can develop. On this roster, I don’t need him to block. I need him to catch passes.
