When it comes to running backs it is hard to really decide who would be the best or even the top three. The problem isn’t the diverse talent as much as the fact that many of the Dolphins’ running backs simply didn’t last long.

The Dolphins went through a phase of drafting runners in the mid-rounds of the draft and letting them play a few years then trading or replacing them. We are choosing three for our decade team.

Reggie Bush: Bush only played two seasons with the Dolphins but you can’t deny how good and impactful he was in those years. He eclipsed the 1,000 yard mark his first year and came in with over 900 yards his second season.

Lamar Miller: Miller has had a pretty good NFL career and while he was with Miami he was very good. A combination of speed and power, elite and neither but good at both, Miller probably should have been re-signed.

Jay Ajayi: You can’t rush for 200 yards in three games and not make the list. His time, thanks to Adam Gase, was cut short in Miami but he was very good in his breakout year.
