After years and years of changing quarterbacks every season, or so it seemed, the Dolphins more or less settled on quarterbacks this past decade. None stood out and none became the face of the franchise.

In 2010, Chad Henne was supposed to take the next step but didn’t. In 2012 it was supposed to be Ryan Tannehill. Unlike the decade before, the Dolphins QB turnover was more an issue with health than anything else but it can’t be discounted that Miami failed to find a franchise player.

Ryan Tannehill: Tannehill was without question the best quarterback of the last decade but that really isn’t saying a lot when you compare him to Chad Henne, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Jay Cutler.

Matt Moore: Moore started some games for Miami but his best games were those that he came off the bench for. So he gets our all-decade back-up spot.

The failures of the Dolphins to recognize the need for a quarterback is mind-blowing. The team could not solve the problem for the entire 2000s decade and couldn’t solve it in the 2010s. Will the 2020s be any different? They better be.
