Secondary: Both

All eyes are on Reshad Jones and whether he will be on the roster by the time the draft rolls around. If he is not, Miami will need to add a safety. Even if he is, expect the Dolphins to really look at this year’s secondary draft crop.

Miami will enter free agency with a need at the corner opposite Xavien Howard and the free-agent market is likely the best place to get that player. There should be some solid veterans available and this would allow the Dolphins to add a developmental project in the draft.

Safety is another need for Miami but the draft may be the best option for them. They traded Minkah Fitzpatrick last year to the Steelers and will need to replace his versatility. Brian Flores’ defense relies on corners and safeties so the Dolphins should be entertaining both free agents and draft prospects during this process.
