Pick #16  Atlanta Falcons:  A.J. Epenesa, DE, Iowa

Vic Beasley, the team leader in sacks last year, is not expected to be resigned by Atlanta and former first rounder Takkarist McKinley has been a disappointment in his first three years.

In steps Epenesa who has shown the ability to not only rush the passer but is also stout against the run.  He instantly upgrades a Falcons defense that finished tied for 29th in sacks last season (according to NFL.com).

Pick #17  Dallas Cowboys:  C.J. Henderon, CB, Florida

The Cowboys are set at many positions heading into this offseason but cornerback is a clear need.  Henderson is a tall, highly talented and instinctive cover corner who has the potential to lock down the team’s top WR on a regular basis.

Pick #18  Miami Dolphins:  Jordan Love, QB, Utah State

Love could, and probably will, be selected higher when trades are taken into account but, in this scenario, he falls to the Dolphins at 18.

Scouts are enamored with his frame and ability to extend plays but he struggled majorly in 2019 after losing 9 starters as well as many of his coaches.  Love can benefit from a year behind Ryan Fitzpatrick but he’s the kind of quarterback that OC Chan Gailey covets.

Pick #19  Las Vegas Raiders:  Zach Baun, Edge, Wisconsin

With the ability to line up at defensive end or outside linebacker, Baun may be able to help fill the void left by trading away Kahil Mack a couple years ago.

There are concerns about why Baun only put up big-time numbers in his final season at Wisconsin but the Raiders are betting they get the player who vaulted on to the national stage last year.

Pick #20  Jacksonville Jaguars:  Javon Kinlaw, DT, South Carolina

Even with all the talent they possess in the front seven, the Jaguars weren’t a very good team against the run last season; finishing 28th against the run last season (according to NFL.com).

Kinlaw is a ‘beast’ in the middle who dominated interior linemen for stretches of the last two seasons.  If his motor was more consistent, he would have challenged Derrick Brown for the top interior d-lineman in this draft.  With this pick, the Jaguars are betting that they can bring out “the dog” in him on a more consistent basis.
