Pick #21  Philadelphia Eagles:  Henry Ruggs III, WR, Alabama

Plilly’s receiving corp was devestated by injury last year.  Nelson Agholor is a free agent and Deshaun Jackson and Alshon Jeffrey are getting old and expensive.  Ruggs provides youth and a ton of speed and could thrive in the slot for one year before taking over on the outside in 2021.

Pick #22  Buffalo Bills:  Justin Jefferson, WR, LSU

The Bills were a surprisingly good team in 2019 but could use some weapons for QB Josh Allen.  Jefferson took college football by storm in 2019 by racking up 111 catches, 1540 yards and a whopping 18 touchdowns.  (Stats courtesy of  Sports-reference.com)

Pick #23  New England Patriots:  Terrell Lewis, Edge, Alabama

If Tom Brady doesn’t return, quarterback could become a big need but like the Bills, New England’s biggest issue last year was rushing the passer; ranking in the bottom third of the league last season.

Lewis found it hard to find the field on a loaded Alabama defense but in his limited chances, he showed the ability to rush the passer and also stop the run.

Pick #24  New Orleans Saints:  Jonathan Taylor, RB, Wisconsin

While the Saints have other needs, and Taylor is not the ‘trendy’ pick among mock drafts, the Saints don’t have a second round pick so they will fill a need by replacing the physical presence they were missing last season.   Taylor is not only a beast to tackle he also has the ‘home-run’ burst to take it to the endzone if he gets to the second level.

Pick #25  Minnesota Vikings:  A.J. Terrell, CB, Clemson

Terrell provides the Vikings with a good cover corner who has played in big-time games.  This pick could just as easily be VA’s Bryce Hall, Alabama’s Trevon Diggs, or LSU’s Kristian Fulton; it all depends on which one catches the team’s eye.
