Pick #26  Miami Dolphins:  Cesar Ruiz, G/C, Michigan

Originally projected to be a 2nd or 3rd round pick, Ruiz helped himself at the combine; scoring in the top 10 among all offensive linemen in almost every measurable category.

Ruiz has the ability to play either guard or center.  HC Brian Flores likes “position flexible” players and I believe that Ruiz will start the season at guard but could replace Daniel Kilgore before the 2020 season is over.

Pick #27  Seattle Seahawks:  Yetur Gross-Matos, Edge, Penn State

The Seahawks were on of the worst pass rushing teams in the NFL last season even with the acquisition of Jadeveon Clowney.  With Clowney set to become a free agent, Seattle is in desperate need of someone who can get to the passer.

Gross-Matos showed the last two years at Penn State that not only can he get to the passer but that he is good against the run as well.

Pick #28  Baltimore Ravens:  Kenneth Murray, LB, Oklahoma

Murray is the type of “ball-hawking” linebacker that Baltimore has coveted for years.  He has the range to play the run but can also disrupt the passing game with his ability to press the line-of-scrimmage.

Pick #29  Tennessee Titans:  Andrew Thomas, OT, Georgia

With the likely departure of T Jack Conklin, Tennessee will need to find a replacement on what was a very solid line in 2019.  Thomas played left tackle for most of his career at Georgia but could prove to be an even better right tackle at the next level.  He is a much better run blocker than a pass blocker which works out well for the run-heavy Titans offense.

Pick #30  Green Bay Packers:  Laviska Shenault Jr. WR, Colorado

The window is starting to close on the Aaron Rodgers era.  Shenault is a second target to pair with Devante Adams that possesses size and speed to take Green Bay’s offense to another level.

Pick #31  San Francisco 49ers:  Trevon Diggs, CB, Alabama

If there’s one thing that the Niners needed in last year’s Super Bowl it was a 3rd corner to match up with the Chiefs high-powered offense.  In 2019, Diggs provided the ‘ball hawking’ traits needed to succeed in the “pass happy” NFL.

Pick #32  Kansas City Chiefs:  Neville Gallimore, DT, Oklahoma

For a team that is coming off a Super Bowl victory, defensive tackle is a pretty glaring need on this team.  Chris Jones is expected to get the franchise tag and, even with Jones, the Chiefs were near the bottom in rushing yards allowed in 2019.
