Predicting the Miami Dolphins 2020 season game by game

WEEK ONE – At New England Patriots

This is going to be a fun game to watch. The Patriots’ last game in New England was a loss to Ryan Tannehill led Titans in the Wild Card round of the playoffs last year. The previous loss at Gillette Stadium came a week earlier when the visiting Miami Dolphins knocked the Patriots out of the top spot in the post-season.

The Dolphins will come into the game much better on paper than they were last year but if the NFL off-season remains shut down, we may not see this game or if we do, how well will the Dolphins be prepared for an opening weekend road trip?

The Patriots, of course, do not have Tom Brady and will see Jarrett Stidham at the helm. The Patriots believe, or Bill Belichick believes that he can win with Stidham. They did not draft a QB in April’s draft which many found a bit odd.

For the Dolphins, this is a game that they can win. Pressure on the Patriots offense will be determined by how well Miami can defend the Patriots running game which is expected to be the focus in New England’s offense. If Miami can take that away, they have a good shot at getting to the QB who may not have the ability to fall down as quickly as Tom Brady or throw the ball as quickly either.

PREDICTION: I think the Dolphins can win this game. I think they will be prepared and attack the Patriots with a lot of different looks while giving Stidham trouble. The Dolphins know what Stidham can and can’t do. They have players that played with him last year.
