WEEK SEVEN – Los Angeles Chargers

Miami will return home to face an interesting game against a quarterback that many predicted would be the Dolphin’s future. Justin Herbert was drafted one selection after the Dolphins drafted Tua Tagovailoa. Don’t expect to see the two QB’s go head to head this year.

There is no guarantee that Herbert will be starting but by this time in the season if the Chargers are going to make a change from Tyrod Taylor, right around the middle of the season would be the time.

L.A. has two more games after this one before they hit their bye week. A change at QB could happen then. This is important because if the Dolphins are facing Taylor, I would tend to lean towards a Charger win but if Herbert is the starter, I think the Dolphins will take the game.

Miami’s defense has traditionally struggled with fleet-footed quarterbacks and Taylor is capable of getting out of the pocket and moving upfield. The Chargers won last year in Miami but the Dolphins early 2019 season was a mess from the start. Previously, the Chargers have struggled significantly no matter who the quarterback was.

PREDICTION: Another tough to call game but the Dolphins should be playing good football at this point and the offensive line should be more consistent. They will need to be as Joey Bosa will be dominating the edge.
