2020 Miami Dolphins: Players who could get cut before week 1.

Miami Dolphins Raekwon McMillan could face make or break training camp.
Raekwon McMillan, LB
Raekwon McMillan Graded out as Miami’s best linebacker per PFF. His 63.9 overall grade was boosted up by his 77.0 rush defense grade. But viewed as a run-stuffer box linebacker, he doesn’t fit into Brian Flores multiple front defenses.
During the 2020 offseason, Miami invested in their linebacker position. Players that can play so many roles, this one-dimensional backer might be on the outside looking in.
2020 Free-agent addition Kyle Van Noy can play all linebacker positions in both a 3-4 and 4-3, being able to rush the passer, cover and run stuff. 2020 Free-agent addition Kamu Grugier-Hill can play 4-3 inside and outside linebacker, 3-4 inside linebacker, and running defensive back drills during the offseason to go along with his special teams’ ability. Another prior patriots’ linebacker from the 2020 free-agent class is Elandon Roberts, during the 2019 season not only did he play snaps at linebacker but played fullback and special teams.
Looking at Over the Cap, cutting the contract year linebacker would save $1,105,573, with only $389,097 in dead money.
Giving up on a second-round pick (54 overall 2017) that is trending up would hurt, but makes sense for the new regime.
