The most crowded and talented position on the 2020 Miami Dolphins is the receiving core. There are three names, in my opinion, are locks to make the roster. 2019 Reception and touchdown leade Devante Parker, 2019 undrafted free agent gem Preston Williams, and speedy receiver Jakeem Grant.

Miami is keeping no more than six receivers on its active roster. That leaves eight players fighting for three spots. I predict it to be just that.
First on the list is Albert Wilson. His straight-line speed and sudden change in direction fit Chan Gailey’s spread offense. At the end of 2019, he showed what he could do if given the space. His 351 yards on 43 receptions with 8.2 yards were beautiful, but his 4.2 yards after the catch average is a good indicator he can make some moves after he gets the ball. This 5’9″ 186 LBS receiver logged 332 snaps in the slot, 90snaps out wide, 15 out of the backfield, and one under center. His versatility is his biggest asset. However, at 27, there are guys behind him younger, and that may have a higher ceiling.

After being put in the game plan after Preston Williams’s injury, Isaiah Ford did not disappoint. He put together a four-game 244-yard stretch on 23 receptions. At 6’2″ 189 LBS, Ford logged most of his snaps out wide. Still at only 24, letting go of this receiver on the rise would hurt.
Gary Jennings was a big play waiting to happen at West Virginia. During his senior year, he scored 13 touchdowns. His 4.4 speed and 6’1″ make for an exciting combination of size and speed. This 2019 4th round pick was claimed off waivers from Seattle. He is a developmental player with a high ceiling.
