The whole running back room

The Miami Dolphins stable of running backs are absolutely undraftable in fantasy. The main reason is the fact that they will be an intense running back by committee team. Howard and Breida were brought in this off-season. On the roster from last season are Kalen Ballage, Patrick Laird, and Myles Gaskin.

As stated previously, this offensive line is not ready for real NFL action. The line is likely to have rookies starting at both tackle spots. Regardless of time together, they will be an improvement from 2019, but still not a unit that can be identified as a strength of the roster.

In the passing game, do not expect the Dolphins running backs to give you much value, not even in a PPR league. Howard is a bruiser and offers very little in the passing game. Breida has potential because of his speed, but is not the lead back and faces a lack of playing time and targets. The two quarterbacks that are most likely to play for Miami are Fitzpatrick and Tagovailoa. Those two are gunslingers to their core and have little to no interest in checking down to a running back.

Ultimately, the Dolphins are not necessarily a team that many should be looking for from a fantasy perspective. This is not a statistical team, much like Flores’ previous stop: The New England Patriots. A healthy DeVante Parker is a great fantasy option and Mike Gesicki has potential to be a late round steal.
