Versatility will be key in what happens with the Miami Dolphins in 2020.

The Miami Dolphins are hoping a diverse group of lineman will hold the interior on both sides of the ball.

The 2020 offseason, we did not only add versatile Defensive backs and Offensive linemen. We also brought is a few swiss army knives on defense. These guys can cover and stuff the run; some can even rush the passer. Having these players that can give Coach Flores quality snaps at multiple spots will ease the burden of the new reality of COVID-19.

The starters that were assembled may only see the field together a few games this season with every starter being available. The sad fact that just encountering someone that tested positive for COVID-19 may be what ruins ironmen like Russel Wilson, who has never missed a game to end their impressive start streak. However, the Miami Dolphins who have position flexibility are:

Kamu Gruiger-Hill, a box linebacker, had 35 snaps rushing the passer in 2019 and 21 at Corner. This 230lbs linebacker has the speed to cover Tight ends. If Eric Rowe is unavailable, he can step in and give Coach Flores someone to play that critical position. He also can play special teams and stand up linebacker if Raekwon McMillan or Jerome Baker goes to the reserve list. It is also important to note he posted a video this offseason of him doing defensive back drills.

Kavon Frazier is a run-stuffing safety picked up from Dallas during the 2020 offseason. This 220lbs safety is also known for having the speed to cover tight ends and can stuff the run.  If need be, he could also play box linebacker since he is around the same size as Jerome Baker.

Kyle Van Noy is usually the first guy that comes to my mind when you think versatile linebacker who can do it all. His impressive 2018 season, he was used as a stand-up linebacker, rush linebacker, and was used a lot in coverage when Coach Flores was calling the defensive plays for New England. His ability to do it all will be a tremendous asset during the 2020 NFL season.
